What is GPM?
GPM(Granulated Powder Metallurgy) is a new technology that use general PM (Powder Metallurgy) Process with Granulated Fine Powder but is applicable to higher mechanical properties.

Granulated Fine Powder + PM Process = GPM

ADVANTAGES
MIM → Kneading → Injection Molding → Debinding → Sintering → Finish Machining, GPM →Pressing→Sintering→Finish Machining
  • • Simple process without Kneading process and Debinding process.
  • • Mechanical properties same as MIM (Metal Injection Molding), by using the same fine powder.
  • • Reduce sintering temperature because of higher green density.
  • • Less sintering-deformation because of lower shrinkage.

Shorter process

  • • GPM is suitable for parts with better mechanical properties than PM.
  • • GPM is able to make simpler design and large parts than MIM.

APPLICATION

▶ Applicable GPM to Slide block (Small)

  • Elimination original machining process is possible →
(Minimization of machining process → Cost reduction
  • Reduction of manufacturing cost by eliminating Debinding process
  • No difference of measurement result of dimension spread between machined parts and GPM parts
    ((Production feasibility is guaranteed)
